The Orpheum
Plaza District Design Collaborative presents exciting proposals for
improvements to Route 18 and the Orpheum Theater. Come see the 4' x
9' model showing how artists and designers envision this South End neighborhood
revitalized with new buildings, pedestrian friendly streets, and a plaza
crossing Route 18! Elements of the proposal include: new trees and plantings,
a stoplight at Gifford Street, fountains, alleviation of traffic at
Cove Street, a plaza for community events, opportunities for public
art, all creating a gateway to the South End. |
